Ted Stone established Stones Plumbing Service in 1982, starting with a focus on residential plumbing and operating from his home. His vision and dedication led the company to evolve significantly. In 1996, Ted steered the business towards the commercial sector, marking a pivotal moment with the first NSW Public Works contract to provide maintenance services for Sydney Trains, supported by a small but dedicated team of five.
In 2005, Ted welcomed Jai Quayle as a partner, solidifying a dynamic leadership duo that continues to drive the company's growth. Ted's easy-going nature and steadfast commitment to quality and integrity have been essential to the success of Stones Plumbing Service, guiding it from its humble beginnings to a thriving, multi-sector enterprise known for excellence and reliability.

Jai Quayle began his journey with Stones Plumbing Service in 1996 as an apprentice plumber, quickly proving his skill and dedication. With extensive experience servicing Sydney Trains, Jai played a pivotal role in expanding the business from a small, home-based operation into a thriving enterprise with a capable team of nearly 20 staff members.
Since becoming a partner in 2005, Jai has significantly increased the company’s capabilities and operational reach, fostering growth across sectors like rail, education, commercial and residential. Known for his strong communication and leadership skills, Jai has established a reputation for quality and reliability among industry peers. With 28 years of plumbing expertise, Jai’s strategic vision and commitment to excellence continue to drive the success of Stones Plumbing Service.

Mitch began his career at Stones Plumbing Service as an apprentice plumber, honing his skills under the guidance of Jai Quayle and the experienced team. Eager to expand his knowledge, Mitch transitioned to Reece Group, where he gained extensive experience working with various plumbing businesses across Sydney. This exposure broadened his understanding of diverse plumbing systems, project management methodologies, and innovative solutions.
Returning to Stones Plumbing Service as Project Manager, Mitch now applies his comprehensive industry experience to oversee projects with precision and insight. His ability to deliver tailored, detailed solutions ensures that client needs are met efficiently and effectively. Mitch's proactive leadership, organisational skills, and commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset, driving successful outcomes for projects across the commercial, rail, and education sectors.

David Sharp has been a vital part of the Stones Plumbing Service team since 1999. With over two decades of experience, Dave is one of the company’s most knowledgeable team members, particularly in working with Public Works and Sydney Trains. His in-depth understanding of the Sydney Trains Network gives him a unique advantage in tackling complex challenges and delivering effective solutions.
As Site Supervisor, Dave is dedicated to ensuring that projects are executed smoothly, safely, and on schedule. His attention to detail and commitment to quality uphold the high standards that clients expect from Stones Plumbing Service. Dave’s wealth of experience, leadership on-site, and problem-solving skills make him an indispensable asset to the team.
